FAQ

Below, we answer some common questions about Tauff. Do you have other concerns, please feel free to contact us.

- Will I get the best exercise when training with a partner who weighs more or less than me?
When training with a person who weighs less than yourself, you can do extra repetitions of couples- and single exersices. If your partner is heavier than yourself, you can do alternative exercises or do fewer high-pressure repetitions. You get optimal training when your partner is of equal weight and who has similar physical attributes as yourself.

- Is there anyone I can train with if I have no partner?
All instructors are prepared to step in if the class has uneven number of people. That way, everyone will have someone to train with.

- Can I train with someone of the opposite sex?
Absolutely, Should you be uncomfortable with this, you can ask the instructor if it’s possible to switch partner.

- Will you become physically close to other people with training?
Tauff is based on having a partner as a tool and as an opponent. That is as close as you get. However, this is not something to focus on. Instead, the goal is on do the exercises right, to be a good tool for and opponent to your partner.

- Will I be able to participate in Tauff if I am not fit?
Everyone who is physically healthy can participate. The level of difficulty is up to you during the training session. We do all exercises in a set time interval, which means that everyone begins and ends each set of exercise at the same time. There are also alternative exercises if you find one to be too hard. Just ask your instructor.

- Can I do Tauff with my girlfriend?
Absolutely. Tauff is a social training tool that strengthens all forms of relationships.

- What kind of clothes, shoes and equipment do I need?
Since you can do Tauff both indoors and outdoors, clothing varies. But the general idea is to have clothes that fit as tightly as possible for ultimate function. That way, fingers won’t get caught in the clothes. As for footwear, you can do Tauff barefeet if indoors if you prefer that. If you choose to wear shoes, we recommend a pair with not too high a sole for easier movements. If you do Tauff outside when cold weather, we advise to dress in layers. You need not to worry about getting cold during the session but we do recommend bringing an extra sweater or jacket to wear after the session is over. During the session, we store our belongings together. When we’re outside running, you can carry a smaller backpack or hold a water bottle in your hand. Everytime we stop for an exercise session, we put our belongings so that we can keep an eye on them.

- Can you be too old for Tauff?
Tauff is made for different levels of difficulty to fit everyone who is physically well. Talk to your instructor if you can’t do a particular exercise and you will get an alternative exercise.
